I don’t know where I’ll go if Twitter implodes - I don’t use any other social media any more and I didn’t get on with mastodon. Twitter’s format is perfect for short-burst shitposts. My blog does have an RSS feed if you want to follow me there!

I read something in (possibly) Garbage Day that said that unlike the big exit from MySpace to FB back in the day, people leaving twitter will be going to a lot of different platforms. It’s so true. The user base will be quite fractured, which in some ways is good but also sad

As much as I think the decentralisation of social media is important, I like the big group of people I’ve been following and interacting with!

I could start short-form shitposting on my own site, yes - but I can’t do that from my phone unless I sort out a CMS or something. Blogging is fun but shitposting into the void is just not quite as satisfying
