    1. In the past year I applied to a conference and they never got back to me. I know I didn’t get selected because the conference has now happened, but it strikes me as rude to not even send a generic rejection email when you know how long CFP applications can take.

    Basically if you’re running a conference (or hiring for a job, it’s exactly the same!) have the decency to prepare a generic “we’re really sorry but thank you for applying” template and batch send it out via Mailchimp or something
